Important Announcement: Closure of Our Animal Centre

We have some very heartbreaking news to share today. Due to ongoing financial challenges, our animal centre in Altham, Accrington, will be closing its doors at the end of March this year—unless we can raise a substantial amount of funds and secure regular donations and corporate sponsorship.
This facility, dedicated to rehabilitating and rehoming the most neglected animals since the early 1970s, will cease operations. We will transition to a foster-based rescue model, which will significantly limit our ability to support our Inspectors in caring for the vulnerable and neglected animals they rescue—often those with challenging behaviors and complex needs.
Our team here at Altham is devastated, and we are reaching out to you, our valued supporters, for any assistance you can provide.
Do you know anyone in business who might be interested in sponsorship?
Could you contribute to our monthly sponsorship subscription through our Safe Haven scheme?
With 13,000 followers on our Facebook page, if everyone could sign up for our Safe Haven scheme, it could make a significant impact on our annual deficit:
£1.00 a month would total £156,000 a year
£2.00 a month would raise £312,000
£3.00 a month would generate £468,000
One-off donations can be made through our JustGiving page.
Consider helping with a gift in wills.
Other ways to assist include fostering a dog or cat in need, rehoming one of our rescues, or sharing our posts.
As an independent, self-funded local branch of the RSPCA, we rely on donations and legacies to continue our vital work. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us throughout the years.
