Meet our lovely boy, Ricky! Ricky is a 1 year old Patterdale Terrier... Ricky is looking for a special kind of home with experienced owners who have a good understanding of terrier behaviour and/or positive reinforcement training. Ricky is a lovely boy who loves going out on adventures with his favourite people. He can be nervous and it takes him time to build bonds with people, but once he is confident he is a very affectionate little boy. Due to his high prey drive, Ricky does wear a muzzle out on his walks. He picked up his muzzle training very quickly and he is a very clever boy. However, he does still have a lot to learn so his future family will need to be committed to continuing his training. Out on his walks, Ricky finds busy areas very over stimulating, so a home where he can go on quiet walks would be best. Ricky is reactive towards other dogs and livestock, we are working with Ricky on this however, his training will need continuing in the home. Ricky will be suited to a home with no other pets and dog savvy children of 14+, who understand he can be nervous. Due to the nature of the kennel environment, we can not say if Ricky is house trained or not.
