Please read full description before applying! Lynx is looking for a very specific home that can meet his needs. We need your help to set him up for success.

Meet this handsome boy Lynx, who is looking for a very speial person to give him the chance he deserves. He has spent a long time in kennels whilst we have worked on his insecurities with the help of a clinical animl behaviourist.

He is a boy with some challenges, so he won't be suited to just any home. He can be reactive towards other dogs and can find people scary, meaning he needs an experienced owner who understands his needs and is committed to positive, reward-based training, continuing with his current training plan.

He is looking for a quiet, adult only home where he can have time and space to settle and build a trusting relationship with his new person. Ideally a home where there are not many visitors and where he can be slowly introduced to new people in a managed and oredered way. A home in a quiet area without lots of traffic (people, dogs or vehicles) would be ideal for him so he can build his confidence over time. His new owner will need to be confident and experienced and able to advocate for Lynx as he is a dog who can struggle in certain situations, although he is improving all the time.

He currently wears a muzzle for vet visits and when around new people and dogs, so his new owner will need to be comfortable continuing this and working at his pace. "Lets not set him up to fail". People are often not keen to use muzzles but they provide safety and a feeling of security, and when muzzle trained correctly the dog will associate the muzzle with fun things like nice walks.

There is so much to love about Lynx!
He enjoys nothing more then destroying a soft toy.
He loves playing with his toys.
He has been on doggy days out with staff members and loves nothing more than snuggling on the sofa with the people he loves.
Once he feels comfortable, he loves going on quiet walks with his trusted people.
With the right person, patience and understanding we believe he will make a great little side kick for someone.

He is a very intelligent boy who picks up new training well.

He may need a little more from is future owner then some dogs but the right person could make all the difference to his life.

He isn't looking for a perfect owner he's looking for his person. Someone experienced, patient and willing to see the wonderful dog behind his challenges.
