Dior is a very hyperactive frenchie now looking for her forever home.
Frenchie's are very recongisable by their bat-like ears and flat faces. Due to this characteristic, they can come with quite a few health issues, which include breathing issues and can have heat intolerance during the warmer months. Frenches are a very playful and affectionate, which make them very desiarable. As you can see, Dior has cherry eye in her left eye, which she came with when she arrived at the centre. Dior is due to have this rectified and spayed very soon so her potential family will need to keep this in mind.
Dior is not your typical frenchie! She has a very high energy levels and needs quite a lot of mental stimulation in order to calm her mind. When she is here at the centre she loves her food enrichment games and walks where she can say hello to people. However, Dior can be a little full-on when meeting people she doesn't know and can be a little mouthy, as she think they always going to give her a treat! This is just her getting over-excited and will need her training to continue in order to keep her calm when meeting new people. Due to this behaviour, Dior will not be allowed to go with children younger that 12 years of age.
She can be quite reactive to quick movement, whether this is horses, dogs and bicycles. Lunging and barking at them, which she is recieving training for to help mininmise this behaviour and something the potential adopters will need to continue with in the home. Dior loves her walks and can walk nicely, for the majority of the time when she is in quiet areas. However, she can be easily distracted and can pull towards anything that interests her. Due to her reactiveness, we are asking for her to be the only-animal in the household.
As with any dog that are in kennels, we cannot gaurantee that they are house-trained. However, help and advise are always offered here at the centre.
