Glynis Is Searching for a Very Special Home. We always strive to do our best for every animal that comes our way, going the extra mile to provide care. However, there are moments when we question if our efforts will bear fruit, yet we continue to hold onto hope. Allow us to introduce Glynis, one of those remarkable cases. She arrived as a stray on April 20, 2025. When she first came to us, she was in such poor condition—thin and weighing just 1.9 kg, suffering from chronic diarrhea and flu symptoms. Her coat was matted with faeces, and she appeared very weak and uncomfortable. She was ravenously hungry. Nevertheless, Glynis sought cuddles and affection from the start, clearly expressing her desire to live. She is a true fighter with a zest for life. We tried every possible method to help her gain weight and alleviate her diarrhea. While her weight fluctuated, it was not enough to believe we were out of danger. We needed to bathe her bottom regularly due to the feces getting stuck in her fur. Although she disliked this and would sulk for a bit, she would soon come back for a kiss, as if to apologize. We reached out to a foster carer, knowing that Glynis may not recover and that the outcome might not be positive.
A Journey of Recovery.
Within a couple of weeks, Glynis began to gain weight, and although she still had loose motions, they were improving as well. Known as a sun worshipper, she loves to follow the sun around the house, lounging in various windowsills. Glynis has also started playing with toys and following her foster family around, curious about her surroundings.
We believe Glynis is now ready for the next chapter in her life. We are looking for a very special person who can meet her unique needs. She requires a specific gastrointestinal diet, regular steroid injections and probiotics lifelong. She will need to be an indoor cat without any other pets. We feel that Glynis deserves a loving home for her remaining days, she has shown us before that she is full of surprises and has gone from strength to strength.
She loves to sleep by the warmth of a radiator or fire and loves a fuss. This truly special girl could live with children aged 12 upwards and needs to be the only pet in the home.
