Our wonderful 1 year old Lurcher, Onion, is now ready for adoption! This lovely boy is full of beans, loves his zoomies and adores his squeaky toys. He will be able to live with another dog of simular nature dependent on successful meets. Onion was born into RSPCA care so has never lived in a home environment... Therefore, a home with another dog may help build his confidence in the home, although, this is not compulsory rehoming criteria. He is a very chatty boy and will bark if there is something he wants, he LOVES his training so is getting much better with this, although training will need to be continued in the home. He walks lovely on lead in quiet areas but can become nervous or over excited in other areas dependent on the scenario, so a home with some experience of sighthound and/or positive reinforcement training would be best for him. He can become excited reactive when seeing some other dogs, however, this is an intermittent behaviour that he does not always show. Continued training will be needed with this. Onion has shown some nervousness around new people, but generally comes round very quickly. Overall, this boy is looking for a home where he can learn how to be a pet dog. He will require some training once in the home as it will all be novel and new to him. He is a very affectionate boy and deserves nothing more than a loving, active family. Onion shows great potential in all the training we carry out with him. He would be best suited to a home with children of 14+ (he is all legs and can be very 'full on' when he has the zoomies). Onion can not be rehomed with cats.
