Ronnie is now looking for his forever home! Ronnie's perfect home would be somewhere away from other dogs and ideally with children of 12+ as he can be very enthusiastic about giving kisses. Ronnie loves people, however, he can be nervous of some men due to his past. He can make friends with men but it does take some patience and introductions must be done slowly and positively. Ronnie is dog reactive and will bark if he sees another dog within close proximity. With work at the shelter and with using distractions such as tennis balls and treats he is becoming better at this, however his new home would need to keep up with this. Therefore, Ronnie's perfect home would be best in a area away from busy dog parks. Whilst at the centre he is showing signs of separation anxiety so he would be happiest with a family where someone will be around most of the time, short periods of alone time can be build up slowly to prevent causing him to become anxious. Ronnie does struggle on his back legs, for this reason he is on some medication and has limited exercise, more information will be given on this throughout the adoption process. Overall, Ronnie is a very loving boy who wants nothing more than to be with his favourite people and playing with toys.
