Can I live with...
Meet the handsome Hugo, this sweet boy is searching for his forever home. His confidence has grown considerably since being with us and he will need somebody who will continue to build on this. He can be wary of new people so do not be disheartened if he does not come running up to you straight away, with time, patience and treats he will show you just how affectionate and cuddly he really is. He does walk well on lead however, he can be a little cautious when he sees dogs. He has improved with us here, however his new owners will need to continue his training in the home. We will provide you with a training booklet so you can use the same techniques Hugo is used to, in order to reach his end goal. He does not enjoy vet visits and is wary of being restrained, therefore he must be muzzled when he is visiting the vet. As with any dog that comes from kennels, we cannot say whether Hugo is house trained, however we will provide you with advice on how to overcome this if it is an issue. Hugo does suffer a little from separation anxiety, and will need somebody who is around most of the time and will be able to show him it is okay to be left alone. Hugo could be re-homed with another dog subject to meeting. The existing dog would need to be of a similar size, confident, who will accept another dog and is calm but playful. He needs a home with no cats as he is a sight hound, and any children present must be 12+ due to his nervous nature.
