Meet the gorgeous George, this live wire is looking for somebody who is experienced in handling energetic dogs. Since entering the center George has learned a little impulse control when it comes to mouthing, however he can still mouth when he is over excited. His training for this need to continue in his new home and we will show you how to overcome this as well as providing you with a personalized training plan to help him reach his end goal. He is good with other dogs however nervous dogs may find him a little overwhelming due to his bouncy nature. Teaching George calm greetings will need to continue for this and it will be included in his training plan. He is muzzle trained and will need to wear a muzzle whenever he may be off lead as he may chase smaller animals due to his high prey drive. He walks nicely on lead and loves his exercise. He can be vocal when left alone in his kennel, therefore until he settles in his new home he will need somebody around most of the time. As with any dogs which come from kennels, we cannot say whether George will be house trained, however we will provide guidance within the training plan on how you can overcome this should it be a problem. George is looking for an active household that can provide him with the daily exercise he needs. As we have said George is very a very sociable dog however he has some issues containing his excitement and can be boisterous and physical in his dog to dog interactions. He could go to a home with other dogs however they should be of a similar robust nature and will need successful meetings before re-homing. Any children in the home should be at least 14 years or older to be able to maintain his training and cope with his boisterous nature
