We Need Trustees
22nd Feb 2012
Do You Have Time to help animals?
Every year the RSPCA Lancashire East branch helps hundreds of animals. Almost every day abused and neglected pets are brought to the centre by RSPCA inspectors where they are cared for until they are ready to be rehomed. The staff at the animal centre do a fantastic job but there is another group of animal lovers, operating behind the scenes and largely out of the public eye, doing vital work for the branch – the trustees. The trustees are responsible for the management and the finances of the branch and they are all volunteers.
The branch is now looking for new trustees with the skills and experience to help manage the next phase of development at the animal centre. In particular, the branch is looking for people with experience of project management, staff management, finance or business. Trustees need to be enthusiastic about animal welfare and must be over 18. If the idea of becoming a trustee of an RSPCA branch interests you and you would like to talk to someone about it, the branch is holding a trustee recruitment event at the animal centre in Altham, Accrington on the evening of Thursday 19th April. Please put your name down for this by e-mailing the branch manager, Ken Harrison, at firstname.lastname@example.org or give him a call on 01200 425176 for more details about becoming a trustee with the RSPCA.
Please let us know in advance if you are coming along so that we are aware of how many people will be in attendance.
