RSPCA having a Ball this Halloween!
Animal lovers from across East Lancashire are in for a frightfully good time this Halloween, and its all in aid of a very good cause.
Volunteers from the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch have been working very hard on a major fundraising event in an attempt to attract funds for Altham animal centre.
The first ever RSPCA Halloween Ball will take place at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel on Friday the 28th October and tickets are now available. The optional fancy dress themed evening will include a three course meal in very spooky surroundings! The fundraiser be hosted by 2BR’s popular home time presenter Christopher Dean and music will be provided by fantastic live party band “The Mighty S” who will ensure that everybody has a wonderful and memorable Halloween.
Branch manager Ken Harrison explained why the organisation decided to put the event together. “We have a committee who work all year round organising various fundraising events, and they decided that this year they will put together a really special event that will live on in peoples memories. Our team have been working round the clock putting together a wonderful evening of fun and top quality entertainment for our supporters and we are very excited about the event.”
Tickets have only just been printed and already more than half have been snapped up by eager supporters. But there are still plenty left, and the RSPCA are asking people to please get in touch and book theirs today.
The RSPCA Lancashire East Branch costs £300,000 per year to operate, all of which is raised locally through lots of initiatives such as their charity shops, supermarket collections, membership schemes and sponsored events. All money raised goes to the animal centre in Altham which rehomes hundreds of unwanted cats, dogs, rabbits and ferrets from all across the East Lancashire area every year, and provides many other services.
If you would like to book your tickets, or for further details, please telephone 01200 425176. Tickets are priced £32.50 which includes a 3 course meal at the AA rosette award winning Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton Le Moors.
